Mercury Contamination in Soil, Water, Plants, and Hydrobionts in Kyiv and the Kyiv Region

In this paper, there was investigated the content of mercury in soil, plant, water, and hydrobionts Kyiv Obukhiv district region. Studied territory is characterized by high anthropogenic load. The solid waste landfill region highest Hg soil. concentration Taraxacum officinale L. among all studied plants, hence possibility recommending species for phytoremediation mercury-polluted soils. Mercury bioaccumulation aquatic organisms ( Blicca bjoerkna L., Esox lucius Ceratophyllum demersum L.) much higher than terrestrial organisms, which indicates significantly prevailing level availability accumulation water environment.
